The disability SIG is a group of Social Care Workers & leaders in the disability sector with a common practice interest. At this meeting the group members advocated on common issues within the disability sector one such issue being Social Inclusion. The members recognised the challenges services users and their families may encounter when accessing information about services in their locality and are thinking of ways to make this more user friendly. Also the members spoke passionately about how to share information with other practitioners and students about the benefits of becoming a member of Social Care Ireland.
