Fresh Start works in partnership with the Child and Family Agency to implement individualised care packages for all children and young people availing of the service. Each centre provides therapeutic care programmes for children and young people who present with a variety of needs. Social Care Manager (County Westmeath) 

The Social Care Manager will hold responsibility for overseeing the centre. The successful candidate will be required to have in place mechanisms for assessing the quality and effectiveness of the service provided by the centre, particularly outcomes for the children and young people.

Essential:

  • Candidates must have, at a minimum, a B.A. in Social Care or the equivalent in a related discipline, and hold a minimum of five years’ experience in Residential/Social Care or a related discipline, two of which should be in a supervisory capacity.

  • The ideal candidate is required to work within both National and Company Policy.

 

Desirable Skills and Attributes:

The required candidate should hold numerous skills and attributes, including but not limited to:

  • Strong Leadership Skills;

  • Knowledge of current legislative framework pertaining to Residential Childcare;

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;

  • Ability to perform duties as part of a team;

  • Be driven, motivated and focused;

  • Ability to work as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team;

  • Have experience of inter-agency collaboration.
